Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is a form of vitamin D that is 30% more active than regular vitamin D and can correct deficiencies faster. Vitamin D is produced in the skin under the influence of ultraviolet radiation from the sun. Studies show that vitamin D deficiency is associated with an increased risk of respiratory diseases.
