Scientific research: Proven effectiveness against tired eyes* In 2012, a study was conducted in Japan to evaluate the effects of blueberry on preventing eye fatigue in people working in front of screens. 88 individuals aged 20–40 were selected for this study. Volunteers were divided into two groups. For eight weeks, the first group took one blueberry extract daily (480 mg/day), while the other group received a placebo. Measurements included flicker fusion threshold (visual persistence), accommodation point, visual acuity, and other subjective signs of eye fatigue.
In summary, it was concluded that blueberry supplementation appears to be beneficial in alleviating screen-induced eye fatigue.
