Barley grass (Hordeum vulgare) is primarily known as a detoxifying and strongly alkalizing (pH-balancing) superfood. As a rich and versatile nutrition source, it contains nutrients needed by humans in natural proportions.
Barley grass is especially rich in chlorophyll. Chlorophyll functions like hemoglobin by transporting oxygen, nutrients, and blood throughout the body. Barley grass contains abundant vitamins B1, B2, B6, and C. Among minerals and trace elements, barley grass contains magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, manganese, phosphorus, and potassium. Young barley juice is produced by pressing young barley sprouts. The liquid obtained this way is dried at a temperature not exceeding 31 °C.
