Queen's jelly, also known as royal jelly, mother's milk and gelée royale, is, as its name suggests, the nobility of superfoods. It didn't get the title because of trends or any other frivolous reasons, but it's a really great example of nature's skill and the properties are based on facts.
Throughout the ages, royal jelly has been considered a source of youth and beauty, and it is used a lot in cosmetics around the world. However, this is only a partial truth, because there is much more to the joy of royal jelly.
What is royal jelly?
Queen jelly is a beehive's nutrient-rich treasure, which allows the queen bee to grow significantly larger than ordinary bees. It is a pure natural product, which worker bees produce queen jelly throughout the life of the queen bee, and its nutrients not only guarantee growth, but also good fertility and longevity. Since the queen is the key to the continuity of the bee society, only she gets to enjoy this bounty of nutrients. The fact that queen bees live their lives only with this jelly tells a lot about the amount of nutrients.

You could think about the benefits of all the above-mentioned nutrients for humans. On a general level, it has been used a lot in cosmetics due to its nutritional value. It reduces skin wrinkles and increases elasticity and improves balance.
Queen jelly is popular among those interested in all kinds of performance enhancement. Although we don't automatically get the same powers as a queen bee, several nutrients have an undeniable effect on humans as well.
Queen's jelly is said to help those suffering from menopause symptoms, support the good maintenance of the immune system, increase fertility and testosterone levels, and slow down aging. There has been some research done to support this, although royal jelly itself has still been studied less than bee pollen, honey or propolis. So the full potential of the substance is perhaps yet to be revealed.
Royal jelly can be recommended to support the immune system, increase energy levels and stimulate the nervous system. It is said to also have an effect on reducing the amount of fat in the blood, which is said to have an effect on lowering cholesterol levels. However, more studies are needed to support this claim.
Who is royal jelly suitable for?
In principle, the whole family can enjoy the beneficial effects of royal jelly, as well as other bee preparations. It should be noted, however, that honey preparations are not recommended for children under 3 years of age, nor for those suffering from bee allergies.
