DESCRIPTION:

The nutrients our eyes need are often difficult to obtain in sufficient amounts from food alone. For example: carotenoid nutrients found in vegetables, such as lutein and specific forms of zeaxanthin, form our macular pigment, which is essential for healthy vision. This part of the retina protects the underlying light-detecting cells from damage caused by excess blue and ultraviolet light. Unfortunately, macular pigment density naturally decreases with age, and some of us lose the ability to produce meso-zeaxanthin from lutein over time. Therefore, MacuGuard™ Ocular Support with Saffron & Astaxanthin contains lutein, as well as trans-zeaxanthin and meso-zeaxanthin along with phospholipids to enhance absorption and accumulation in the retina.

INGREDIENTS:

Proprietary MacuGuard blend, saffron extract, natural astaxanthin, C3G (cyanidin-3-glucoside), extra virgin olive oil, gelatin, glycerin, safflower oil, palm oil, purified water, beeswax, gum arabic, annatto, potato maltodextrin.

USAGE:

1 capsule daily with a meal.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Dietary supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women, ill persons, or those taking medication should consult a doctor before using this product.
