Ashwagandha is an Indian herb used in the traditional Ayurveda health care system. Several different parts of Ashwagandha have traditionally been used, but most modern dietary supplements are made from an extract isolated from its root.
Ashwagandha is counted among the so-called adaptogens, which are thought to increase the body's ability to adapt to various internal and external stressors

Ashwagandha is especially known for its calming and stress-relieving effects.
The herb has a long and traditional history for this purpose, which has also been supported by modern scientific evidence in recent years.
Ashwagandha has also traditionally been used to support better sleep - ashwagandha's Latin name Withania somnifera means "sleep-bringing". Supporting sleep is also one of the most popular reasons for using ashwagandha today, right after stress management.
- Performance, strength levels and recovery
In addition to supporting mental balance, there is some evidence of the benefits of ashwagandha in promoting maximum oxygen uptake, strength levels and recovery, among other things. Because of this, many athletes have included the herb in their nutritional supplement arsenal.
USE:
2 tablets a day with plenty of water, preferably half an hour before a meal. Use adaptogens sparingly for, for example, 3 weeks at a time, after which you take a correspondingly long break.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. A nutritional supplement cannot be used as a substitute for a varied diet.
